Pediatric OT can help your child fulfill their highest potential! OT helps children develop independence in everyday tasks through developing and strengthening foundational skills. These foundational skills include gross motor skills, fine motor skills, handwriting, sensory processing skills and visual processing skills.
If you feel your child would benefit from Pediatric OT, but are unsure of where to begin, a free initial consultation would be a great start! Based on a thorough assessment, we can recommend a therapeutic plan for your child. We can also provide home visits* for fine motor and gross motor skills evaluation, sensory processing assessments, handwriting assessments, and more!
We currently offer home visits in Brampton, Mississauga, Oakville, Etobicoke, North York and East York!
A 15 minute virtual meeting or phone call where we thoroughly review your child's developmental history. A collaborative approach is used to set goals for your child.

A 60 minute in-person* assessment. We can assess the following areas individually or in combination depending on the goals generated during our initial consultation:
Following the assessment, we provide an initial recommendation email for yourself and/or your child's teacher and other allied health professionals in order to provide continuity of care across a variety of settings.
Fees:
One hour OT assessment with report: 250$
One hour OT assessment without report: 160$
An individualised and detailed recommendation letter that can be used in support of insurance and OAP funding requests. Please note that completion times for the recommendation letter may vary between 1 to 2 weeks.

Ongoing OT sessions following the initial consultation and in-person evaluation. Ongoing sessions can be done in home or at school. Travel fee applies (price will vary depending on location.)

Erika graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto. She then completed a Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of Canberra in Australia in 2018. Since then, she has worked as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist in both Australia and Canada alongside children with a range of diagnoses. She is proficient with a variety of assessment tools and has acquired further skills through various professional development programs such as the Zones of Regulation, Handwriting Without Tears, and the Alert program. She has recently completed a comprehensive course on reflex integration. She is fluently bilingual and can offer French services upon request!

Zoe completed her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy at Queen Margaret University in Scotland. Since graduating in 2020, she has moved back home to Toronto and has been working in paediatrics. Zoe has many years of experience working with children with a range of diagnoses and currently practices in a variety of clinical, community and home settings.
Zoe is familiar with Ayre’s theory of sensory integration and uses this framework for her practice and to support assessment and treatment with clients. Zoe is passionate about occupational therapy, and believes in the importance of using a skills-based and individualized approach with each client. Having fun is key, so Zoe is passionate about combining the client's OT goals with having fun!

Caroline Prudhum OTA
Throughout her life, Caroline has always had a strong passion for health and wellness. She graduated from the OTA/PTA program at Humber College in 2023. She has comprehensive experience in a variety of healthcare settings and ages within the pediatric population. Her mission is to help young ones reach their fullest potential physically and mentally, so that they may continue flourishing during their vital stages of development. Her goal is to be approachable, inclusive and fun!
Children are such a joy to work alongside, and she always
aspires for that to show through in her sessions. Her mission is to help as many families as she can - She hopes to meet you soon!

Khrisa Almeda OT Reg. (Ont.)
Khrisa Almeda is a dedicated Occupational Therapist who specializes in helping children develop the skills they need to succeed in everyday activities. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from the Philippines, and is registered to practice as an Occupational Therapist both in the Philippines and in Ontario, Canada.
Through personalized, evidence-based therapy, Khrisa provides children with the tools and strategies necessary to navigate daily life with confidence and independence. Specializing in working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, sensory processing disorders, Cerebral Palsy and other developmental challenges, Khrisa takes a holistic and compassionate approach to therapy. By collaborating with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals, she ensures that each child’s therapy plan is tailored to meet their unique needs and goals.

Sylvie Gakwaya OT Assistant (OTA)
Sylvie was introduced to occupational therapy a couple years ago through her daughter’s therapy experience and was inspired to turn her passion of helping others reach their goals into a career. She graduated from Oxford College of Arts, Business and Technology, in OTA/PTA program in 2025.
Her goal is to help kids achieve their fullest potential, build confidence and independence through meaningful activities. She is Eager to apply academic knowledge, strong communication skills, and a client-centered approach in a collaborative setting with families. Her approach is playful, where children feel empowered to explore, by following their interests. She strives to make therapy enjoyable, motivating, and meaningful. Sylvie offers sessions in French upon request!

Jenica Whitla (OTA)
From a young age, Jenica has been passionate about supporting others and bringing joy to the people around her. That passion led her to pursue a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University. Currently, she is working toward becoming a licensed Occupational Therapist and is completing her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy (MSOT) at the University of Toronto.
In the meantime, she bring several years of experience working with both neurotypical and neurodivergent children in home and therapeutic settings. Her background includes knowledge in sensory integration and behavioral intervention, which allows her to adapt strategies to meet each child’s needs.
As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, she believes every child’s journey is unique, and she strive to provide personalized, meaningful support that helps children and families achieve their goals. She is excited to be part of each family’s growth and celebrate their progress along the way!
